On January 30 I was scammed for $221 USD when the scammer used this same vender code (someone used this vender code and “my” card “in person” in Mexico City whereas I was personally far away on the island of Cozumel). Obviously my credit card was cloned in January 2023. Perhaps coincidentally, on January 9 my waiter at Chilitos Guerita in Mexico City had disappeared behind a counter with this same credit card for a long 3 minutes. He was out of my view. When he returned my waiter (Javier) told me my “credit card didn’t work” so he asked me to pay in cash instead. But the next day I found out my credit card did in fact work… and so I was billed twice and I paid Javier twice (over $110 USD). Chilitos Guerita refused to refund the the double billing.
